Sustainability!

When it comes to Zero Waste Living pure and organic are the first words that come to mind. There are many ways to live a Zero Waste life. One of these ways includes using reusable materials for everyday activities, from cooking and sleeping. For example, you should replace all the plastic shopping bags with cotton or jute bags, you should buy fresh vegetables as opposed to canned. Additionally, store your pantry items in reusable bottles that you got from either buying pasta sauce, jam or pickles.
Having a Zero Waste starter kit is another way to help benefit your process of eliminating your nonrecyclable materials. A starter kit can have a variety of benefits such as ensuring your food stays fresher longer, reducing the amount of garbage being thrown away and allowing you to have a sense of organization. Most Zero Waste starter kits consist of reusable materials such as metal, glass, and bamboo.  For many years, I have had my own starter kit that I did not even notice. I used metal thermoses, glass containers, metal or bamboo cutlery, and a cloth napkin. Look inside your lunch kit, pantry or fridge and tell me whether or not you have taken the first step in ensuring a Zero Waste Lifestyle.
