Shop Locally!

Hi everyone! Today we will be discussing an innovative solution to create a  change in our life and how we can live more sustainably. While I am sure many of you have already become aware of the term " shopping locally ", I believe that this step is crucial.

What are the benefits of shopping locally? -

1. You will be supporting the local economy by contributing to the growth of local organizations and NGO's.
2. You will be purchasing organic products that are far better for you and your health than fast food companies or mass producing organizations.
3. You will be cutting down your carbon footprint immensely. 
4. You will be spending less money per week.

In Trinidad and Tobago and in the Caribbean, there are a variety of amazing local organizations that sell sustainable products that could be used in your daily life. 

Some examples of GREEN companies in T&T 

- Hello Green : this organization produces plant based compostable packaging.

- Eco- Minded Supplies : they provide eco - conscious alternatives to plastic products. 

- The Last Straw: they sell organic and eco friendly products eg, bamboo cutlery and straws.

- Bee Pure TT ; they sell candles made from organic beeswax. 

Above is a list of only a few local companies that run through Trinidad and the Caribbean. There are hundreds more companies that are influencing the way we produce and purchase.

 I urge each and every one of you to be more conscious about the way you purchase. By changing one item in your life can have a huge impact on you and the the environment.
